I liked that it is affordable, great location in London and the staff were really friendly. Was a nice area, not being from London we were unsure what it would be like but the hotel is above a nice bar that has food and drinks. Also in a short walking distance from train station, takeaways, coffee shops etc. Parking can be an issue like anywhere in London, we used the just park app and parked about a fifteen minute walk away (lots of options). When dropping our luggage off I just parked next to the hotel and put my hazard lights on for five minutes whilst I carried our bags upstairs.

Handily placed near to Mile End tube and 25 bus route - bus stop opposite - and I felt safe as a woman travelling solo. It was surprisingly quiet, despite being a Friday night, on a main road and the pub below being busy. The lady checking me in was very welcoming. Spotlessly clean and comfy, not cramped, and everything I needed. I loved the vintage French movie posters decor. A park opposite and the canal too so some pretty bits to what I thought would be a majorly urban area. Cleaning lady again very pleasant on my leaving the next morning.

Here is the pros of the hotel as mentioned below. I use short points to make it easy to understand my experience Pros The hotel shower was actually good I been in 5 star hotels that had crapper showers Bed was comfy and clean Room was clean Wifi was decent and working well Hotel was close to nearby tube and bus links making going anywhere dead easy Staff were helpful and polite AC was functional and working Bar downstairs and also loads of eating places in bar and nearby

- the room and toilet were clean - shampoo and conditioner for use in the toilet - a hairdryer, two cups, an electric kettle, coffee, tea, milk and sugar in sachets are available in the room - automatic blind - air conditioning in the room - next to the bed of the cabinet, with contacts and USB input (that's why we didn't need an adapter) - clothes hangers - armchair and TV - great location - close to the metro and quick access to the city center, many restaurants nearby

Mostly a very good experience. Went with my daughter, to celebrate her birthday and meet up with grandson. Reception staff very pleasant. We had a family room that was very nice. My daughter’s single bed was on a slope which made it slightly uncomfortable. The room wasn’t serviced, so we got no milk for our second night, and the bin wasn’t emptied. Being up 2 flights of stairs, we couldn’t face going down to ask about the milk, which I’m sure would have been forthcoming.
